What is it about indie bands imitating the Beach Boys now? Every British indie band seems to be doing that nowadays. Well, at least they're not being Mods anymore (no, that's left up to Australians like Mav.)
Me, I'm holding out for the late-80s/early-90s shoegazer/Madchester revival.
Well yeah, but this piece of dreck is more like Weezer. Except Weezer actually have some redeeming features, not the least is being cynical enought to reform just to record a new album in order to slake more cash from the sorts of pseudosensitive obnoxoids that populate bands like Sounds Like Sunset. That's entertainment!

Previous ... Swirl - Light Fill My Room (2001)
This is the latest album from Sydney indie-popsters Swirl, who formed around 1990, did the shoegazer thing in the early 90s, releasing their album The Last Unicorn on power-pop label...
Next ... Trembling Blue Stars - Her Handwriting (1996)
The solo project from Bob Wratten of the Field Mice, made some 5 years after the band's break-up, and seemingly right after the break-up of his relationship with vocalist Annemari...
hehehhe you rock :)
