Oh, I might wait a couple of weeks, I've still got one or two I'm waiting on, including the Radiohead live thingy you mentioned.

It's never too early to make lists. :)

I'll probably post mine around the end of the month; I'm still deciding on whether to restrict myself to new releases or to put in any CDs I acquired during the year.

I'll post mine later this month too. It'll include Jodi's album for sure (I'm on it!) and probably Radiohead, and will differ very much in every other way ;) And I probably won't be able to restrict it to 10!

My 'any CDs acquired' list is a bit different, but includes #1-6 of this list. And I'm already reconsidering my list, having listened to Travis's 'The Invisible Band' again on the weekend and figuring it deserves the #10 spot. Maybe if I count 'Amnesiac' and 'I Might be Wrong' as a joint number 2 :) (the latter is there almost solely for its gorgeous version of 'Spinning Plates').

Heh. I know you won't be able to control yourself, Peter, but that's fine. Myself, I'll be doing it on an "acquired" basis. There's a few oldies and some from 2000 that I sort of want to rave about. Mightn't even be a formal top 10 list. Anyway.

Was the Goldfrapp released this year? I didn't realize it if it was, I may have to update my list. Anyway, here's my 10 or so as of today:

1. Paul Burch - Last of My Kind
2. Les Savy Fav - Go Forth
3. Bonny Billy - Ease Down the Road
4. Papa M - Whatever, Mortal
5. Mouse on Mars - Ideology
6. Guided by Voices - Isolation Drills
7. Shins - Oh, Inverted World
8. Beta Band - Hot Shots II
9. Edith Frost - Wonder Wonder
10. Dump - That Skinny Motherfucker with the High Voice?
11. Low - Things We Lost in the Fire
12. Airport 5 - Tower in the Fountain of Sparks
13. Ryan Adams - Gold

This most certainly will change, if not the albums, then the order.

In Australia, yes, Goldfrapp was released this year - but now that you mention it I think it does have a 2000 date on it. Hmm, more list possibilities! :)
